Late nine months

We've just been too busy to do anything on time here. I'm in the worst part of the year, testing season. Not to mention Abby can be crabby in the evenings so that doesn't make ideal pictures. 

She turned 9 months last Tuesday. And we took her pictures Sunday. Whoops. Just been too crazy. She's over 18 pounds and her head is still in the high 90th percentile. Big brains! She still loves her Nuk pacifier and being attached to me. She is crawling but only kinda when she really wants to. An iPhone will get her crawling. She really wants to stand. She may just start walking before ever really crawling. 

 She is eating more foods. She seems to really enjoy bread and her puffs. She would probably eat the whole container if I let her. She says "words" like "mama" and "baba" and some great fart noises. 

We are anxiously looking forward to summer break and the pool. She loves the bathtub so I have high hopes for her liking the pool. That means I have to do swim lessons with her and I'm not looking forward to that. 

Easter

What a busy Easter we had. Abby (or me) barely had the time to even visit the Easter bunny. She did wonderful and didn't even cry. There are some perks of daycare. 

We did both family Easter events on Saturday so that left us free on Sunday. She wasn't able to participate in any egg hunting this year. Next year she'll be ready to throw them 'bows and snatch some eggs. 

She was so tired on Saturday she passed out in minutes in the car. She was a bit sweaty from the weather too. 

The bunny dropped off some goodies Sunday morning. 

She got a Scooby interactive reader. When you read the story he talks to you. 

She picked this vibrating pig out over Spring Break on an adventure to Target. 

I wish this one wasn't blurry. Thanks, dad. 

We also ventured out to Calloway's on Easter to get flowers for the yard. She did pretty well but I had to hold her for about half of the time. During nap time we got the flowers planted and the yard is looking good. 

Busy bees

We are super busy with life around here. Abby is slowly getting closer to crawling or walking. Not sure which will happen first. She stands really well but really doesn't crawl well. She is very chatty. She has started making a "huh" noise. It's pretty funny. We are still working on our sippy cup. 

G turned 30 last Saturday and we had some balloons in the house. Abby loved them, Herman did not. I had to crop the dirty laundry out of that one. Saturdays are busy cleaning days around here. 

We tried to go out for lunch. As always she pooped on the way there and wanted no part of being out. I think there was too much action. 

G gave her my phone the other evening and turned on the camera for her and she took her first selfie. Not too bad. 

Miss A will be 9 months next week. We are getting closer and closer to the big one (and also summer).
