First Christmas

We had a very busy Christmas season.  We had our first family party last Saturday.  Abby did better than Thanksgiving but eventually crashed.  Baba had Abby's name for Christmas (we rigged it last year to announce we were pregnant).  She got some fun toys for Abby.  She really liked the ball.  She held it the whole way home.

My pretty girl.  Mouth open... like always.
Too much party fun for Abby.  She's asleep, not eating as it kind of looks like.

Christmas eve we started out at the pancake house.  Someone was grumpy.  G made lasagna that night and we just stayed home.  Abby was playing earlier in the day and I took some pictures.

Santa came for Abby Christmas morning.  She got some good stuff at home.

We then packed up and set out for Mesquite.  We had some puke drama before we left that ended with an impromptu bath.  Abby made out big time there.

After lunch we drove back up to Plano for dinner.  Dinner was delicious; my favorite German meal. We did presents after dessert.  Abby was pretty worn out by then and so were we.  She just lounged across my lap as we showed her all of her awesome gifts.
I got a new robe for Christmas that's a lot like my mom's that Abby loves.  She snuggled up in it and took a snooze as we finished up.
Jessica Simpson faces with Auntie Anna.  And they have matching skin conditions.

This is the next morning, Abby laying in her laundry basket full of new clothes.  We are a big girl in 9 month clothing now.
Here is a picture of Abby reading in bed yesterday morning.  We have had a few slow days to recover from the Christmas madness.

5 Months

We are one whole hand full of months old.  And we are a little late posting these.

Happy smiles!

The royal wave.

Serious face.
She still wakes up at night when she loses her pacifier. We have had our colds all season long and had our first vomit experience last week. She can just about sit up and grabs everything.  We are almost half way to one!

This is what we look like when we eat oatmeal.
And one of many Christmas outfits.

Our Week

We started out the week by getting a text with pictures from the lady who openly breast feeds at daycare.  It makes G a little uncomfortable.  She had taken pictures of the girls.
\
Then a fire broke out in my classroom.  The part over the GAS LINE overheated and caught fire with 26 kids in my room.  Thankfully no one was hurt and it was a nice day for a fire.

Then two days later the ice hit.  I barely got out of school.  I had to scrape ice off my windshield to get home.  No school Friday so we watched some 90210 and did some tummy time.
Saturday we were still stuck.  Sunday too.  Only now with a sick baby.

I am still off school today but with a slightly healthier baby.  Back to school tomorrow for nine days then Christmas break.

Thanksgiving

Abby had her first Thanksgiving but did not feel well.  She had a horrible cold all day and wanted to be held.  Thanks, daycare.

We started out the day by watching the parade.  We then packed up and headed out to G's family.  Abby got to see lots of family including her great-grandparents.

We headed back our way to my parents' house for our second Thanksgiving.  Less relatives, more dogs.  Just a quiet dinner with the six of us.

Crazy to think next year she will be eating turkey with us.

More Fancy Photos

We had our photos done about a month ago at the McKinney Square.  Abby was not really feeling them that day.  Normally she is all smiles until she needed to.  Thanks, kid.

Four months

Well, it's been over a week since Abby turned four months old.  It's been really crazy around here lately with school and home and everything else.  And G and I had a case of food poisoning last weekend.  That was a real downer.

At four months Abby loves to put everything in her mouth.  Everything.  I'm not so sure I like the slimy fingers stage.  She is in a size 2 diaper and almost out of 6 months clothes.  She went to the doctor last week too for her check up.  She wasn't as big as we all thought.  She is 14 pounds and 14 ounces and 25 inches.  She just recently started making fart noises with her mouth.  We aren't sure where she picked that up as we didn't teach her but it's awfully cute and funny.  She's still a big ham, always smiling and happy.

The doctor gave us the go ahead to try rice cereal.  Well, that's not going so great.  She makes a horrible face every time we try and feed it to her.  We also thought it would help her sleep and there's been no change in that department.  She also been battling a cough contracted at daycare and has been hell bent on sharing.  G caught something and currently has no voice. What a sweet girl, thinking of her daddy and wanting to share.

Abby the Friendly Ghost

We had our first Halloween.  We started the day off with our cute Halloween outfit to go to daycare in courtesy of our Aunt Anna.
When I picked her up we came home to do our usual routine only daycare had gotten her really off schedule for the day.  We cleaned bottles in our outfit and took some pictures.  We had to wear a bib as to not spit all over our self.  It's been a problem lately.

We have been trying out our Bumbo seat lately.  We are still a bit wobbly in it though.

We got photo bombed by the dog.  Story of our lives.

Gary and Michael spent the evening outside in the front yard handing out candy.  We apparently had lots of people stopping to take pictures and video this year.  Abby really enjoyed looking at the flashing lights as she was out there.  She has no idea what's in store for Christmas.  Hopefully next Halloween we can do a few houses of trick-or-treating.  Until then, this is the newest song for Halloween this year.

Three months

Abby turned three months Tuesday.  It was quite a day as she got kicked out of daycare for her non-contagious eczema.  G had to pick her up and take her to the doctor so she could go back the next day.  She still took some nice pictures.  All with her hand in her mouth and blotchy skin.

At three months she is wearing six month clothes and is as big as the 5 month old in her daycare class.  She is a happy girl who is giggly and full of smiles.  She loves to hold on to her rings.  She is starting to watch TV with us. Not sure how to feel about that.  We watch some not so appropriate shows.  Here's hoping The Walking Dead doesn't scar her for life.

We had quite the morning this morning.  A blow out at What-a-burger before heading down to put on the pool cover at her great grandparents' house.  She has not seen them for quite awhile.

Tomorrow we have pictures in the McKinney square.  Then we will be doing Halloween as G is setting up his light show.  Come back for Halloween Abby!

What's been going on

Abby met G's long time friend Chris for the first time a few weeks ago.  Yes, it was only September and she was wearing Halloween gear.  If you've got it, use it.  Right?

Last Sunday was Grandpa's birthday.  Abby attended her first birthday party.  She had to dress for the occasion and even had a little nap time with the birthday boy.
She has been pretty crabby lately and it doesn't seem right to only document the good stuff.  This is what we see a lot.

Her Aunt was in town so they had some A. Victoria time.
She's pretty close to a full on laugh these days.  Her newest favorite is sucking on her hands.  And she has been pulling up her dress when she has one on.  I told G he better get on that now.

Shortly we will turn THREE MONTHS.
