2015

January

There was some decent weather in January as we are outside without coats. That was soon to change.

February

February brought cold weather and "snow" days stuck inside.

March

In March we had spring break where we visited the zoo. She did really well and seemed to like it.

April

The weather was great through April and we fed the birds every Monday afternoon.
That's if it wasn't raining.

May

We signed up for swim lessons in May but half of them was canceled due to bad weather.

June

Lazy days at the pool and saying good- bye to our pacifier in June.

July

We had more swimming lessons with a friend and turned two in July!

August

No more only child! As well as MAJOR home improvements going on.

September

Mommy felt terrible all through the month of September so not much went on. We didn't even go to a restaurant all month.

October

Abby spent a week of October being very sick. She ran a high fever and puked once.

She picked to be Minnie Mouse for Halloween and enjoyed answering the door and giving out candy.

November

We started off the month with a tooth trauma and it just got worse from there. She knocked her tooth back into her mouth but thankfully it's still healthy.

We also went to Disney World and spent a long weekend visiting with princesses.

December

December was busy with getting ready for Christmas and parties. She also started staying up and "reading" her books at night. Santa brought her more Magiclip princesses and their castle!

2016 will be a big year of change as we bringing home number 2. Abby will also be moving rooms and beds in the next few weeks. I'm counting down the days until my "summer break." It does start early this year.

Busy season

The span of weeks between Halloween and Christmas seem to get busier each year. We had a hectic last month or so.

We took Abby out to Disney World as a "baby moon" type trip. One last party as an only child. She was great. We had long days and she went without a nap. We only had a few melt downs like when a ride stopped and she didn't want to get off (Midway Mania and the Tea Cups). She got to meet all her favorites like Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tinkerbell, Minnie and the most anticipated Anna and Elsa. On the way home the weather was bad and we were stuck in a holding pattern above central Texas. I was getting sick feeling and Abby actually used the air sickness bag. Poor kid. That night we also were woken up to tornado sirens. We had to get her up and into the bathroom to take shelter. Fun times.

We stayed at an awesome resort, Anjmal Kingdom Lodge. We got to look out of our room at a bunch of animals every day.

Here we are at 20 weeks. 20 to go.

Abby is looking forward to Christmas this year. She pretty much gets it. She has been up in bed at night "reading" one of her many Christmas books.

Davis: Party of Four

We will be adding another body to the house in April.

G felt the need to take Abby's picture in front of the wall he built to accommodate everyone. We are making our one massive room into the two rooms it should have always been. Abby will be moving into a new room and baby will take her old one.

We had a photo session where we tried to get Abby to look surprised but she refused. We had to do it instead.

She is pretty excited about having a baby brother. And she will be such an older sibling and boss him around. She talks to him a lot lately.

October

We are big into playing dress up lately. We usually prefer the Elsa dress but on occasion branch out.

Abby was SUPER sick about two weeks ago. She had tonsillitis and an ear infection. She was out all week from daycare but still managed to get in a little bit of play time.

When she was feeling better, we got to the pumpkin farm. She liked the animals and was big into finding her pumpkin.

We are getting pumped up for Halloween next weekend. She can say "trick or treat". I'm not how sure she will be into going up to strange houses though.

Busy times

The summer ended too quickly and we are both back at our daily grind. Abby started in the Ladybugs classroom this year. We only have two more rooms before kindergarten!

The weather was hot, hot, hot in August. We spent some time in the pool. Abby also spent lots of time playing doctor. She loves to do check ups on everyone.

She is getting so big! She's in size 5 clothes already. She can drink from a cup on her own and can occasionally use the potty. Her vocabulary is out of control. She is definitely a talker.

Abby's Birthday

We woke her up (again) with balloons in her crib.  She REALLY wasn't a fan of them.  She started throwing them out of her bed.

We quickly got dressed and went off for birthday pancakes!

I put up some streamers for her to wake up to on her birthday.  It was a pretty low key Wednesday after our breakfast.  We had to go to the grocery store and pick up her cakes.

When dad got home we did presents!

Then we had dinner and some cake.  She was really excited to get more cake and wear her special hat.

She was trying to show us she is two.

What a big girl!  She enjoys reading books and playing on her iPad.  She is still into babies and Frozen as well.  She is a chatterbox and will talk your ear off.

We went to the doctor the day after her birthday and her head is still off the charts large and she is in the 96th percentile for both height and weight.  This girl is big!  She is in between a 4T and 5T these days.  I can't imagine her getting much bigger.

2nd Birthday Party

Abby had a leopard Elmo themed birthday.  Auntie found a dress a long time ago that started it all.

We had lots of Elmo and Sesame themed foods and decor to go along with our theme.

She had a super special Elmo cake.  It was fantastic!

Auntie made Elmo whoopie pies.  They were very chocolate!

I made some Elmo cups that were kind of a pain.  They looked cute though.

I made some paper fans to put around the pool.

I tried to put this background up for pictures but it was so windy that it ripped shortly after this picture.

She was ready for that cake.  She ended up sticking her hand in it before we even sang.  We couldn't get her to do that last year when she had her own cake.

She ended up only eating the chocolate middle out of the cake and leaving the rest.

We had some pool time to cool off after eating our cake.

Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate!
