I went to the doctor last Thursday and again there was little to no progress. We left there with the decision to induce the following Thursday at 41 weeks and 1 day. We did a lot of mall walking that weekend and tried some other measures like spicy foods and such. The weather last weekend was not ideal. Normally I spend most of the weekend in my parents' pool but the rain kept me away. Sunday we ventured out for dinner and came home and got ready for bed. I was only asleep for about two hours when a pain woke me up out of my dead sleep. A few hours later we were headed out to the hospital. Thank goodness it was very early on a Monday morning with very little traffic because being in the car was horrible.
We got to the hospital around 4 am and went from there. I progressed fairly quickly at first but it still took 16 hours before she arrived. That's a lot of waiting.
Abigail Victoria was born July 15th at 5:42 pm weighing in at 7 pounds 10 ounces and 21.25 inches. We all (my doctor included) thought she would be so much bigger in weight but her length does not disappoint. There were babies being born like crazy that day so everything kind of took awhile. We had to order our dinner as soon as she was born because the dining service was about to close.
We spent all of Tuesday at the hospital and we were released around lunchtime on Wednesday. We arrived home to a little surprise from big brother.
People constantly asked us how we thought Herman would react. I wasn't completely sure one way or another but he has been a good big brother. The first few days he would not leave our side. If we went to the nursery, he went to the nursery. He seemed to be more anxious than we were. He still loves to smell her all the time.
We have had a few rough nights around here but hopefully we are making progress in the right direction. She had her first "outing" Friday to visit her pediatrician since our doctor did not have privileges at the hospital I delivered at. Everything checked out perfect and she had even gained back to ounces of weight that she lost. She was 7.5 when we were discharged and is back up to 7.7.

40 Weeks
Here we are at our due date. Nothing major happening. We have a doctor appointment tomorrow to make sure we can wait it out another week.
I am super tired and look it. Dang, these pictures are bad. I'm a little embarrassed to even post one.
G finally finished the shelves about a week or two ago. I haven't invested much time into decorating them as I don't even know what I want to do with them. I did use the pots from my baby shower to make some ribbon topiary. I tried to use a similar color scheme as the letters on the wall. It's a funky angle as it is hard to get them all in the shot. I also do not love how the baby monitor has to be attached to the wall to be used properly. Ugly down side to the video monitor but I'm sure I'll like being able to see and hear her in the night.
Maternity clothes: Yes
Stretch marks: Still none
Sleep: Super tired and lazy
Best moment last week: Nothing stands out
Movement: Tons
Food cravings: Fruit, ice cream (been on a Braum's kick lately), Coke Slurpees
Gender: Girl
Labor signs: Braxton- Hicks; still nothing major
Belly button - in or out? Holding on strong and staying in.
What I miss: Working out at hip hop hustle
What I am looking forward to: Getting her out
Milestones: Seeing my due date breeze by
And this is a horrible video as someone actually used their phone to obtain it but it is so real in my life currently. "The ship's too big and the bottle's too small!"
