37 Weeks

We have made it "full term."  We are just hanging out waiting and waiting.  I have been at the pool a lot lately and I didn't put sun block on my face today.  Not a good move.  Like normal we have been photo bombed by the dog.

Baby Shower

We had two baby showers last week.  The first was at school and just very small and low key at a pub so others could indulge.  If I can't no reason everyone else can't.  I don't have any pictures from this because science teachers generally aren't overly cute cutesy and into these things.  I got a lot of awesome stuff off of our registry though.

The second (and final, thank goodness) shower was last Saturday.  It was very nice at a tea room with lots of people and gifts.  Anna and Emily did a fantastic job.  There aren't many pictures of the event.

Food and goodie bags.  My awesome sister made the cookies to match the bedding.

Super cheesy smile of mine.
School is finally out for summer.  It doesn't really seem quite real and over yet because I did have to go to work this morning.  I am very happy to not have to be in my hot classroom anymore.  With all of the construction going on it has been a cold winter in my room and a hot spring.  My kids were great this year.  Several of them got the baby little gifts or just food for me.  I will really miss some of them.

32 Weeks

We finally got our furniture about two weeks ago.  I was starting to get a bit worried.  It is much larger than we remembered but it still all fits just fine.

Note: we are not done decorating.  The sleep sheep was only placed up high so that Hman will not steal it.  He wants to cuddle with it so badly.
The letters came from Etsy and I painted them myself.  They weren't too horrible to hang up as we used a nail gun.  G needs to finish and hang the shelves above the crib and then I just need to organize and get stuff where I want it.

As always the dog had to get in the way of the picture taking process.  32 weeks in, only 8 more to go.  I am getting very tired of school and I am ready for the summer.  I probably would be tired of school regardless.  :)  I have two 4 day weeks and a full week of school left.  I also have two showers in the same week.  It will be a packed last three weeks of school.

How far along: 32 weeks
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained a lot this past visit while I haven't gained anything the past two.  I think I'm around 20 pounds now.  I didn't go to the gym one entire week.
Maternity clothes: Yes
Stretch marks: Still none
Sleep: Slept nearly 11 hours last night.
Best moment last week: It was two weeks ago but the furniture being delivered.
Movement: Yes and legs sticking out of my abdomen
Food cravings: Fruit, ice cream (Baskin and Robbins Peanut Butter Chocolate, the girl there knows G now), Coke Slurpees
Gender: Girl
Labor signs: Just some Braxton- Hicks
Belly button - in or out? Holding on strong and staying in.
What I miss: Patios... Being able to bend down with ease
What I am looking forward to: School ending, getting my slurpee nearly every day and getting the room put together
Milestones: If I can make it to Thursday without snapping at a kid (I have Friday off)

Day Tripping

We took a quick day trip to College Station last weekend.  G forced me to take some pictures on the steps of the same building where we got engaged seven years ago.  Who are these young kids?

And the new ones...

For an April day in College Station it was not at all warm.  But we did have a nice time.

7 months sober

I am 28 weeks today.  It seems like it's been forever and ever.

My blood glucose came back perfect but my iron was low so I am on additional iron pills on top of my prenatal vitamins.  No big surprise there.  She is measuring two weeks ahead still (30 weeks at 28) and I am at the top range of normal.

Last weekend I had to work prom at school.  When we walked in the tiara and crown were laying there.  I had to snatch it up and try it on.  Keeping it classy as the pregnant prom queen.  The king is a co-worker of mine.  In case you were wondering I was rocking gold glitter heels with this outfit as well.

Yesterday after the doctor visit we took some photos.  I look super duper tired and I am not happy with them but here they are.

He wasn't supposed to get my feet in the picture.  Thanks G, barefoot and pregnant.

I've seen people doing these before so I'll give it a try.

How far along: 28 weeks
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Didn't gain anything in the past two weeks but I'm at a total of 17 pounds.
Maternity clothes: Uh, yeah, with a mix of G's stuff when we are laying around the house
Stretch marks: I don't want to jinx myself but no
Sleep: My awesome teacher bladder can hold in the urine all night but someone has been having dance parties when I try and fall asleep.  I am also surrounded by both boys snoring (G and Herman)
Best moment last week: The bedding finally came in and with a free blanket.
Movement: Aforementioned dance parties
Food cravings: Fruit, ice cream, coke
Gender: Girl
Labor signs: No and I don't want any yet
Belly button - in or out? Holding on strong and staying in.
What I miss: Is it wrong to say beer?? :)
What I am looking forward to: Is it wrong to say beer again?  Just kidding.  I am looking forward to the furniture being delivered and school ending.
Milestones: Getting through the week

25 weeks

There is nothing much new to share going on around here.  We spent our day off on Friday working in the yard and getting it in order.  I then colored some Easter eggs.  It's a yearly tradition to try and make the ugliest egg possible.  I accidentally made an attractive one instead.

G finished up the nursery last week.  All he has to do is a few touch-ups here and there and make the shelves for over the crib.  The lighting in this room is very strange so the pictures don't turn out true to life.

My sister was over and we were taking pictures last night.  G insisted I have my picture taken even though I did not want to nor was I dressed to be doing so.  You can't even really tell I'm pregnant... just "too many beers" as one of my students told me lately.

I am still at the gym three times a week doing cardio and lifting light weights but then I come home and put some ice cream down.  Oh well.

Here's a few favorite randoms from yesterday.

This coming week I will be back at the doctor for the blood glucose screening.  Then I start going once every two weeks.  Let's hope the bedding actually comes in this week as well.  We end our week with G turning 29 Friday and Hman turning 5 Saturday.  Busy, busy.

San Diego

Last week, during my Spring Break, we ventured out to San Diego.  It has been so cold here and I have been freezing this whole winter I was excited to go to Cali and find some warmer weather.  Too bad the weather was warmer in Dallas.  Just our luck.

We started out after lunch Wednesday at the USS Midway.  I thought it would be horrible and boring but it really wasn't.  It was a bit difficult getting my big butt through all the tiny stairways and openings but we had fun.

G made me get in the brig as I was wearing stripes that day.  Some random tourist also took my picture.  It was a little creepy.

Thursday we spent the day at the zoo.  It is extremely hilly at the San Diego Zoo.  We saw all kinds of awesome animals but my favorite was the Galapagos turtles.  Their oldest is 150 years old and 400 pounds.

When we were looking at a cheetah a zoo keeper told us to hold on a moment because they were about to transfer a cheetah across the street in front of us.  I was a little scared to take its picture as I didn't want to spook it.  He was on a regular dog collar and walking better than Herman does on a leash.

Friday was a strange day.  We started out at a car museum that had a Low Rider exhibit. There was a beautiful old Cadillac on display as well.

We then headed out to Coronado Island to walk around and shop and go to the beach.  We bought nothing for ourselves, just a collar for Herman and some decor for the baby's room.

The water was so cold.  The weather wasn't too cold but if the water touched your feet you thought you may pee yourself.

For dinner we headed up to La Jolla and stopped at the cove to see the seals.  Those pictures are on my iPhone so I don't have them right now.  There were so many of them it was crazy... and cold.  We came home on Saturday to beautiful warm sunny weather, nicer than San Diego.  Now a week later it's back to cold, rainy nasty weather in Dallas.  Boo.
